She came home with this:
She went on to tell me it was a game she made. She did this ALL BY HERSELF. No help from Grandma or anything.
It lists out things you need in life. The objective needs a bit of work but the premise is so cool. You roll dice and tally mark the numbers as you go around the "board". First one to 100 wins.
The things Autumn says you need in life are (with her spellings):
Peace
Butey
Fairness
Compiny
self time
frends
love
fathe
trust
magic
family
resons (told her I slightly disagreed with this but we agreed that reasons help us understand things sometimes)
fun
slepp
work
play time
lerning
groth
time (because of course we all need more time!)
opshons
and of course a free space where you get to make a wish for anything you want. Autumn's wish..."for everyone to be happy and not have reasons to be sad."
OMG, my kid is.so.cool.
Last night while we were watching American Idol, I found out that an "internet friend's" son was nearly abducted while they were visiting Seattle. It was unfortunate that Autumn was still up and saw my reaction and I probably should have filtered it a bit more but I didn't.
They were at Pike Place Market and the mom looked away for 5 seconds, turned around and the boy was gone. Thankfully, she started yelling his name and both parents started looking for him. They saw him being led away by a man pulling his arm. He let go after the boy heard his mom. The good news is the boy wasn't harmed AND they caught the bastard. He will be charged next week in Seattle court for child abduction. No prior record-no history. One 65 yr of sicko who has probably slipped through the cracks endless times hurting other children and won't any more!

Sick people out there make me so mad.
Teresa, I too was blindsided by D's family's ordeal. On a happier note, YES, Autumn is a cool kid. What a creative game!!!
