I probably should have mentioned that we are not directly affected by the flooding going on here. A large part of our yard doesn't drain well and had a bunch of water but we are on top of a hill and far from the river.
We finally drove through downtown last night though and stopped at a friend's place who was flooded. About 2 inches running through his whole house for about 8 hours. NOt a pretty sight.
Autumns school is high enough off the ground and didn't get water inside (TG school budget around here is bad enough!) but has been closed nearly 3 days now because the parking lot, field, roads, etc had about 4 feet of water in them.
The houses downtown always look so funny in the summertime when you see them 8 feet off the ground. In the winter you realize why...
Here is a link to the flooding going on around here lately. The mountain pass is about 30 miles east of us.

Im so glad you posted this. I've seen stuff on our news about the flooding (and all of the snow) and was hoping you guys (especially your new house) were not affected by it too much. Mother nature can be such a biotch!
