Moondance

ohhh...how many times have I heard this song in the past 3 days...98,763,745,343? close!

"Moondance" by Van Morrison is Autumn's Halloween theme song. Her favorite part is "the night's magic seems to whisper and hush" because it "REALLY sounds like Halloween!!"

Right now she is dressed up in her vampire costume. I just got a bite on the shoulder followed by wishes of real vampire teeth and wantings of turning into a bat. It is Erik's turn to play and they are playing a vampire game. I placed restaurant earlier already so I am off the hook.

Restaurant was set up with her little desk and chairs upstairs. She made a menu, place mats and served me my order. The "maranade" with ranch, cut up cucumbers, water, chives, lemon balm and oregano from the garden wasn't the greatest....but palatable.

The one thing I think I have done as a parent that has been most beneficial to every family member is to ALWAYS leave markers, crayons and paper out. Her room is upstairs now and we still have a basket of drawing things and paper on the dining room table. We have done this since she was old enough to use a crayon and it has always been so neat to just watch her ideas be put onto paper. There were only a few slight crayon marks on the wall-now easily painted over.

We've been working on house stuff all weekend. I'm not sure what Erik's malfunction is with things but everything he builds, hangs or installs is about 6 inches too high. If we ever sell this place, someone will think a giant lived here.

Happy easy Sunday!
Teresa
