Victims

Our dog/puppy has somehow attacked those closest to us. The attached picture is the victims soaking in warm water to get the dog slob off. On the left is Geega. Autumn's very first baby doll from Erik on her first birthday. The middle is my teddy bear from my mom 20+ years ago. On the right is Alice, Autumn's dear kitty she sleeps with.

Alice was most brutally attacked and will require rhinoplasty. I am not a surgeon but feel confident we can make her presentable. The other victims were rescued in time. Teddy bear is a bit leaner now though since the perp was able to take a significant amount of stuffing out through an existing hole in his neck left from a previous animal attack. Romy routinely goes after Erik's slippers but they have somehow been caught in time and not torn up.

We also are the proud owners of a garbage can. I must say, I truly love it. I do still feel guilty using plastic bags but it is something I will just have to come to terms with as I have my love of clorax wipes. For the last 7 months we have used cardboard boxes and paper bags strew about in various places. Erik was most affected by having to take out the garbage nearly every day. It leaked, it spilled, the dog got into it....all sorts of fun.

I also attached a picture of some huckleberry muffins I made today form huckleberries in our yard. For those not from the Pacific NW, huckleberries are just like blueberries but red and really tart. I don't really like them actually but Autumn and Erik do. I might scarf one down though just to see how they are in muffins.

We are about to start another week. Autumn is getting over her first virus from school and is all sniffles and coughy now. Erik is thrilled about the buck he got last week and is hoping for the same thrill in getting an Elk soon. That is where he is now. I guess my don't kill animals karma has stopped working.

Baby Hudson was born to John and Amy last week! Very exciting! He was 2 lbs 10 ox and is a little guy but a fighter. I saw him in NICU last week. Amy is home nad recovering and Hudson should be home in 6-8 weeks. Good thing they live close to the hospital.

It is lovely sunshine today and the next few days. We are going to go out in the garden and plant some things for fall.

Love,
Teresa

Go little Hudson!!! So glad he is off to a great start.
I'm LMAO about the three victims (been there so many times) - hope the rhinoplasty is a success. :) Funny(not!)how dogs know how to go after the stuff with the most sentimental value. First thing that Troy chewed was a cool wooden top that I got in Mexico, of course.
